104. Imbolc and Full Moon in Leo Online Gathering Replay

Today's episode is the replay from our online gathering through the Living on Lemonade community to honour and celebrate Imbolc and the full moon in Leo on Sunday Feb 1st.
Imbolc is a Celtic tradition that celebrates the halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox.
It honours renewal, fertility as the first signs of spring start to appear in parts of the northern hemisphere.
Groundhog Day is a modern day spin on Imbolc.
In our gathering, I shared some information on Imbolc and the themes of the full moon before leading a meditation to end the evening.

103. Navigating Social and Political Unrest As An Empath

Today's episode is a departure of my normal flow of episode subjects but I don't feel I can talk about anything else without addressing how I've been feeling lately about the political and social unrest lately.
This episode is first and foremost for the empaths of the group- the people who feel not only their own experiences deeply but also the experiences of others in both first hand witness and through things like media.
I discuss the importance of taking care of and resourcing yourself so that you build resilience and capacity to channel the political injustice and rage you may be feeling towards lasting change.
Martin Luther King Jr. is someone I have always deeply admired and I think now, more than ever it's important to remember and follow his lead with non-violent approaches to creating change.
I hope there is a nugget of hope for listeners in this podcast and one thing I also wanted to include in the episode outside of free ways you can help is if you have monetary resources, how can you support the community affected to help resource them?
Google organizations that are on the ground and helping real people and join in those efforts if you feel called.
There's so many ways we can bring community and connectedness in these trying times.
