This episode is a lovingkindness meditation read from one of my favourite books called Buddha's Brain. The authors are Rick Hanson and Richard Mendius. I ended the meditation with some self love thoughts that are my own words.

In this episode, I chat about my first love and what the aftermath of a break up can feel like when we lose part of our identity from it.
This was the beginning of my personal development journey and the first real steps to loving and accepting myself.
I chat at the end about an upcoming self-study course I'm putting together and will release shortly called Create Your Calm. In this impromptu episode, I share my heart around the moment the reality set in that my aunt isn't coming back. This happened on the weekend that makes me think of her most- Easter. Grab a tissue if you have a soft heart and hear how I navigated a family celebration while my heart was simultaneously shattering.

Hi everyone! Gosh, it's been a hot minute!
I've needed a bit of a break from all things in general and am happy to be coming out of my hibernation finally.
Today, I'm talking about the experience of losing my grandpa at 16 years old, just two years after my childhood kitty Chrissy was put down and four years after losing my friend Nicole. I discuss what it was like to lose my grandpa and be the only one in the family to not have the opportunity to say goodbye and how I came to terms with it, along with some of my coping tools to get me through the darkest part of my grief of losing him.
As mentioned in the podcast, if you'd like to join me in my free online Facebook community, Living on Lemonade with Lauren, you can do so here:

As always, you can find me on Instagram as well with my handle @mzzlaurengilhula.

In this episode, I lead listeners through a grounding meditation to help you get out of your head and back into your body when you feel stress, anxiety and overwhelm.
This meditation is a passage from the book called, "The Earth Prescription: Discover the Healing Power of Nature with Grounding Practices for Every Season" by Laura Koniver.
This recording was used in the first round of my 5-week series that helps people manage stress and navigate life with more grace and ease.

In this episode, I chat about the first two furbabies I had to say goodbye to- one of them being my "furry little sister" Crystal who supported me emotionally after Nicole's death and how that impacted me as a 14 year old. Also talked about are the tools I used to navigate the aftermath of Crystal's death and how I honoured her in a visual way that I still enjoy 18 years later.
